Black Francolin

36 cm (14") Rare. Introduced to Louisiana, s. Florida from Europe.

Male: brown upperparts, black beneath is spotted in white. Chestnut collar and white cheek patch.

Female: mottled brown overall. Chestnut patch on nape.
