Elegant Tern

43 cm (17") Rare. Pacific coast. Breeds in Mexico, wanders north after breeding season. Suggests a small Royal Tern but it has a longer slimmer reddish-orange bill and longer crest. Forked tail.

Song: "karr-reek".
