Eurasian Tree Sparrow

15 cm (6") Local. Introduced to and now common around St. Louis area in Missouri and Illinois.

Brown, streaked upperparts. Black bib and distinctive black ear patch. Brown crown distinguishes it from similar gray-crowned male House Sparrow.
