Mew Gull

Also known as: Common Gull, Sea Mew

41 cm (16") Fairly common. Pacific coast, inland in breeding. Unmarked thin yellow bill. Dark eye. Similar to smaller Ring-billed Gull but has more white on its black wing tips. Name is taken from its voice.

Song: low mewing "mee-u".
