48 cm (19") Wings 109 cm (43") Fairly common off east coast, abundant off west coast. May be seen in large flocks and often seen from shore. All dark Shearwater with whitish underwings. All dark bill. Nearly identical to smaller Short-tailed Shearwater which is found only in the Pacific Ocean.
