Ringed Turtle-Dove

31 cm (12") Introduced from Asia. Southwestern California. Suburban gardens, parks.
Resembles Mourning Dove but in flight tail shows more rounded and has more white at edge.
Named for distinctive spots on neck.
Song: call is a low harsh "oo-hoo-oo-hurrrp".
