Thick-billed Parrot

38 cm (15") Rare. Mexican bird of highland forests. Up until 1930's had been a regular visitor to mountains of southeastern Arizona, strays to New Mexico, southern Texas. Being reintroduced to Arizona.

Green overall with a red forehead and eyebrow stripe.
