11 cm (4-5") Rare. Texas, lower Rio Grande Valley.
Bluish-gray upperparts. Greenish or olive patch on back. Yellow throat and breast. White wing bars. No eye ring. Told from Northern Parula by lack of eye ring and male has a black ear patch with a single or no dark breast band.
Was called Olive-backed Warbler.
Song: rising buzzy trill.
