Delaware's Blue Hen Chicken, Rhode Island's Red Hen and Hawaii's Nene or Hawian Goose are on the block as their states debate adopting Bigbird as their state bird.
Although not known as a big egg layer Bigbird does sometimes lay a big one. For example, when asked in a restaurant how he preferred his eggs, Bigbird replied "Hatched, grownup and fried".
