Bridled Titmouse

Baeolophus wollweberi

13 cm (5") Common in mountains of Southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico. Oak, pine-oak, juniper, sycamores.

Distinctive black and white face. Crested. Black throat. Plain gray back, whitish below.

Similar Mountain Chickadee is without a crest.

Song: high pitched "chick-a-dee-dee".
