Baeolophus Genus

Baeolophus is a genus of bird in the Paridae family, all of which are native to North America - the Titmice.

Titmice are small, plump, hardy birds with short bills, short wings, and drab plumage. They are active and agile; acrobatic when feeding, often hanging upside down. They flock together when not nesting. Sexes similar. Titmice are crested with light throats. Only the Bridled Titmouse has a black bib.

The genus contains the Tufted Titmouse Baeolophus bicolor, Black-crested Titmouse, Baeolophus atricristatus, Bridled Titmouse, Baeolophus wollweberi, Oak Titmouse, Baeolophus inornatus, and the Juniper Titmouse Baeolophus ridgwayi.
