38-76 cm (15-30") Now well established in suburbia and spreading rapidly.

Spends most of its time sitting sedately imitating an ornament on lawns and patios.

Because this bird remains stationary for such long periods of time flowers and other plants grow from its back.

Although it has never been seen to mate, it seems to reproduce overnight.

Song: never heard.
