14 cm (5") Fairly common. Western North America. Nests in coniferous forests.
Very similar to Dusky Flycatcher; best told by habitat. Conspicuous white eye ring. Dark olive-gray upperparts. Whitish throat. Gray breast. Pale yellow belly. White outer tail feathers.
Song: sharp "pic" or "peek".
