Least Auklet

16 cm (6" ) Abundant off Alaska; Bering Sea, Aleutians. Found in large flocks. Small nearly neckless chubby bird with a stubby dark red bill. Dark above, white below.

Breeding: white throat patch, white plume behind eye.
