Painted Redstart
15 cm (6") Accidental. Southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. Pine-oak forests, canyons.
Slaty black upperparts. Chestnut crown patch may be visible. Black throat. Bright red breast and belly. Plain unmarked wings. Similar Painted Redstart has a large white wing patch and distinctly white-edged tail.
