The two Fulmars are closely related seabirds. The Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus glacialis) lives in the north Atlantic and north Pacific, whereas the Southern Fulmar (F. glacialoides) is a bird of the southern oceans.
These birds look like gulls, but are petrels.
