76 cm (30") Uncommon. Coastal tidal flats, shores, lagoons.
Two color phases - all dark like a Little Blue Heron, or all white like a Great Egret. Told by its pink black-tipped bill and its dark blue legs.
Feeds in shallows by "dancing" or lurching about with its wings spread out.
