Kentucky Warbler

Oporornis formosus

13 cm (5") Common in moist woodlands in eastern United States; just enters and is rare in southern Ontario. Nests and feeds on ground with ample deciduous vegetation.

Black cap and black sideburns or whiskers. Yellow eyebrow lines form bold spectacles around eyes. Upperparts olive. Underparts uniformly yellow.

Song: loud "churrree" repeated.
