Bendire's Thrasher

Toxostoma bendirei

25 cm (10") Fairly common. Southwestern United States. Bushy desert, open farmlands, grasslands.

Gray upperparts. Mottled or spotted breast. Yellow eye. White at tips of tail. Similar Curved-bill Thrasher has a longer, more curved bill.

Song: warbled melodies with phrases repeated one to three times.
