15 cm (6") Common in its limited range - southern Florida and Florida Keys - in mangroves and hammocks.
Gray cap; olive-green back; white below. Distinctive white eyebrow stripe - bordered on both sides by black; red eye; thin dark whisker marks. Lacks wing bars.
Persistent and cheerful singer. Heard more often than seen. Best recognized by voice.
Song: monotonous, somewhat like Red-Eyed Vireo's but with paired phrases.
