Gray cap; olive-green back; white below. Distinctive white eyebrow stripe - bordered on both sides by black; red eye. Lacks wing bars.
Persistent and cheerful singer. Heard more often than seen.
Song: short abrupt robin-like phrases repeated all day; "see me, hear me, see you, vireo".
