Olive upperparts; gray rump; bright yellow throat and breast; white belly; yellow spectacles; white wing bars. Similar Pine Warbler has a narrower bill, thinner eye ring and a yellowish rump.
Song: slow repetative phrases such as "de-ar-ie come-here" often with a rising "three eight"; hoarse "heh heh heh" call.
