Orange-crowned Warbler

Vermivora celata

13 cm (5") Common in western North America, rare in east. Thickets and shrubs, undergrowth.

Greenish-yellow faintly streaked underparts. Told from similar Tennessee Warbler by its yellow undertail coverts and faint streaks on underside.

Usually feeds on low branches.

Nests on ground.

Song: weak chippy-like trill.
