13 cm (5") Southwestern United States. Mountain coniferous and mixed forests; especially yellow pine or pine-oak mixes.
Black-streaked gray back. Yellow eyebrow stripe becomes white behind the eye. Yellow throat and breast. White belly. Two white wing bars. Black streaks on side. Similar Yellow-throated Warbler has an all white eyebrow stripe and a distinctive black ear patch with white behind the ear.
Song: fast accelerating trill.
